In this lesson, children build on their knowledge of subtracting decimals to include numbers with a different number of decimal places. They begin by subtracting with no exchanges and move on to calculations that require exchanges up to 3 decimal places. This lesson includes a teaching presentation accompanied by differentiated activities with a range of fluency, reasoning and problem-solving questions, as well as 3 sets of extra fluency questions.
