Job Title: Maths Content Proof Reader x 2

Description:

We are currently seeking two meticulous Maths Content Proof Readers to join our team on a contractor basis. As a Maths Content Proof Reader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of our educational materials aimed at Key Stage 1 and 2 students, aligned with the National Curriculum for England.

Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly review and proofread maths content, including questions, answers, and graphics, to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with the National Curriculum standards.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the National Curriculum for England, particularly focusing on Key Stage 1 and 2 maths concepts.
  • Verify mathematical calculations independently to ensure accuracy up to Year 6 standard.
  • Check for spelling, punctuation, grammar errors, and ensure proper formatting of materials.
  • Ensure that graphics, including diagrams and illustrations, are aligned correctly and enhance the educational content.
  • Collaborate with the content development team to provide feedback and suggestions for improvement.

Requirements:

  • A thorough understanding of the National Curriculum for England, particularly in maths for Key Stage 1 and 2.
  • Proficiency in mathematics up to Year 6 standard, with the ability to independently calculate and verify answers.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors in spelling, punctuation, grammar, and formatting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Reliable internet connection and access to a device for remote work.
  • Proficiency in using screenshotting tools or similar software to provide feedback on content edits.

Additional Information:

This is a contractor position, and candidates will be responsible for processing their own tax returns. We offer flexible working hours, allowing you to complete your tasks at your convenience. Immediate start is preferred, and successful candidates will have the opportunity to make an immediate impact on our educational content.

We are seeking a Writing & SPaG (Spelling, Punctuation, and Grammar) Content Writer to join our team. This role offers flexible hours and the opportunity to work remotely. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in primary education, specifically with experience in teaching the National Curriculum for England.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop engaging educational content focused on writing and SPaG for primary school students, aligned with the National Curriculum for England.
  • Incorporate best practices in teaching spelling through a morphological approach.
  • Stay updated with Government guidance and educational standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training to enhance subject knowledge and writing skills.
  • Collaborate with team members to contribute to content planning and meet project deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Qualified primary teacher with a minimum of 3-4 years of experience teaching the National Curriculum for England.
  • Excellent understanding of the expectations outlined in the National Curriculum for England.
  • Experience as a writing moderator is preferred.
  • Completion of the Place Value of Punctuation and Grammar course is desirable.
  • Strong internet connection and access to personal device.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to undergo a paid trial period of 2 weeks.
  • Dedication to ongoing learning and professional development.
  • Responsible for own tax as this is a contractor role.
