Role Overview:

As the Grammarsaurus 3D Curriculum Manager, you will play a pivotal role in refining and enhancing our existing curriculum resources for foundation subjects and science. You will work closely with our team of writers, editors, and educators, including a newly appointed Oracy Lead, to ensure our materials support all learners, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and struggling readers. This position offers the flexibility to work from home, allowing you to manage your schedule effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Development: Lead the refinement of curriculum materials for foundation subjects and science to ensure they support all learners, including those with poor processing skills and struggling readers.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee the quality control process for foundation subjects and science resources, ensuring lessons are consistent, modern, relevant, and accessible.
  • Resource Management: Coordinate the development and refinement of lesson plans, worksheets, assessments, and multimedia resources for foundation subjects and science.
  • Team Management: Supervise and support a team of content writers, editors, and subject matter experts.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Oracy Lead and other educators to incorporate practical activities and oracy opportunities into foundation subjects and science lessons.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about educational trends, standards, and new teaching methods to keep our foundation subjects and science resources current and competitive.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.

Qualifications:

  • Education: BA in Primary Education or PGCE.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching in primary schools.
    • Desirable: Experience with OFSTED inspections, specifically having been deep dived in their subject.

 

 Skills:

      • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
      • Proficiency in educational technology and digital learning tools.
      • Organisational and project management skills.
      • Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality standards.
      • Confidence with SEND and KS1, with the ability to break down learning into accessible chunks for all learners.
      • Experience of teaching KS1 or a clear understanding of supporting struggling readers and children with SEND.
      • Creativity and the ability to think outside the box.
      • Ability to adapt to a flexible work environment and manage remote teams effectively.

About the role:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced primary teacher to be the Design & Technology (DT) Project Manager in our team. This role offers flexible working hours, making it suitable for those looking to balance professional commitments with personal responsibilities. As a DT Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing and enhancing our DT curriculum, ensuring it is engaging, modern, and relevant for primary pupils.

Our scheme is separated into three areas:

- Nutrition and cooking

- Textiles

- Structures and mechanics

We have already written and resourced the textiles part of our curriculum and we are now looking for someone with the expertise to continue with the cooking and nutrition & structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Development: Design and create exciting and engaging DT curriculum materials, including medium-term plans and resources.
  • Compliance: Maintain a thorough understanding of the National Curriculum for England and ensure all materials are compliant.
  • Innovation: Introduce modern, innovative approaches to DT that captivate and engage young learners.
  • Progressive Schemes: Ensure that all DT units fit into a progressive and comprehensive DT scheme.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years working in primary education.
  • Passion: A deep enthusiasm for the Design & Technology curriculum.
  • Curriculum Design: Confidence in designing and creating curriculum materials that are relevant to children in the modern age.
  • National Curriculum Knowledge: Familiarity with the National Curriculum for England.

Desirable

  • OFSTED Experience: Experience of a successful deep dive in DT.

  • Specific Expertise: Ideally, trained in the Place Value of Punctuation and Grammar and passionate about Grammarsaurus' AfL approach to English, including the Place Value of Punctuation and Grammar.
  • Teaching Techniques: A firm understanding of how to use concrete, pictorial, and abstract techniques to teach sentence and paragraph level work in English.
  • Writing Skills: Able to write model texts to the expected standard for Year 6.

Desirable

  • Moderation Experience: Experience in KS1 or KS2 writing moderation.
