In this lesson, children will find complements which add together to total one and will make links with number bonds to 10, 100 and 1000 to support them when finding these complements, including those with up to three decimal places. Children may use a hundred square, bar model or part-whole model to support them. There is a teaching presentation accompanied by differentiated activities with a range of fluency, reasoning and problem-solving questions.
