· Develop understanding of using a connecting vowel letter to join morphemes.
· Practise spelling plural nouns with base aut/ stem auto.
· Learn that adding suffix -y to a base or stem sometimes forms nouns.
· Apply four spelling rules:
Double the final consonant letter when a word ends in a CVC pattern and the stress is on the last syllable, then add the vowel suffix.
Drop the final silent e vowel letter, then add the vowel suffix.
Change the final letter y after a consonant letter to i, then add the suffix (except -ing).
Just add the suffix -y.
· Practise applying spelling rules with different tenses including the simple past tense and past progressive tense.
