Understand the importance of vowel letters and the sounds they make Learn that when we say vowel letters, we use our voice and when we say consonant letters we use our tongue, teeth and lips Explore the role of the letter 'y' and its connection to the vowel family Learn that the consonant letters 'g' and 'c' can make a soft and hard sound Create new words by changing vowel letters Annotate words to identify consonant and vowel letters Engage in practical games to reinforce learning
