Description

In this objective, children will learn to add suffix -s or -es to singular noun bases and regular verbs to show the meaning of "more than one" or "present simple tense". In four 20-minute lessons, they will:

Understand the terminology 'singular' and 'plural' Learn spelling rules to add suffix -s or -es to bases:

1. Just add -s 2. If the base ends in s, ss, sh, ch, tch, x, y, zz, we use suffix -es 3. If the base ends in o, we often use suffix -es 4. Change the final letter y after a consonant letter to i, then add the suffix -es 5. Use an alternate base when suffix -s is added to bases ending in f or fe
