Y2 Objective 3 - (Introduction to Morphology)

In this objective, children will learn how morphology helps to spell words by building morphemes to create new words. In one lesson they will:

· Learn new terminology such as base, root, prefix, suffix and more

· Discover how language has developed through etymology

· Learn how to recognise a base word

· Be introduced to morpheme flashcards and understand how this resource will support spelling throughout the Grammarsaurus spelling scheme
