Children are given the opportunity to revisit and consolidate their learning of the 2 times table.  They will focus on identifying and whether a number is a multiple of 2. They should recognise multiples of 2 are numbers that can be divided into two equal groups. They learn to identify that a whole number is even if it has an even number of ones, regardless of whether the tens and hundreds digits are odd.

National Curriculum objectives
 Count in steps of 2, 3 and 5 from 0, and in 10s from any number, forward and backward (Y2)
Recall and use multiplication and division facts for the 2, 5 and 10 multiplication tables, including recognising odd and even numbers (Y2)
