In this lesson, children will be taught how to represent and make equal groups, using numbers and words. They will work in a variety of ways, using concrete resources and pictorially. They will use mathematical vocabulary to demonstrate their understanding. Children should be provided with manipulatives to support where applicable. There is a teaching presentation accompanied by differentiated activities with a range of fluency, reasoning and problem-solving questions.
