Description

In this lesson, children will apply their understanding of multiplication to learn the 10 times-table. They will work in a variety of ways, using concrete resources and pictorially. Children should be provided with manipulatives to support where applicable. There is a teaching presentation accompanied by differentiated activities with a range of fluency, reasoning and problem-solving questions.

Mathematics Year 2:

solve one-step problems involving multiplication and division, by calculating the answer using concrete objects, pictorial representations and arrays with the support of the teacher.

Differentiation:
There are three levels of differentiation in this pack: ‘working towards,’ ‘expected’ and ‘greater depth’.
