In this objective, children will learn to form plurals and present tense verbs by adding suffix -s, -es to singular bases. In four 20-minute lessons, they will:
1. Just add -s
2. If the base ends in s, ss, sh, ch, tch, x, y, zz, we use -es
3. If the base ends in o, we often use -es
4. Change the final letter y after a consonant letter to i, then add the suffix -es
5. Often if the base ends in f or fe, drop the f or fe, change it into v and add suffix -es
