
In this objective, children will learn how to affix base fore to bases and stems.
Over three 20-minute lessons, they will:
· Learn that base fore is a free base which carries the meaning “before or in front of”
· Recognise when to apply suffixing rules and that base fore mostly combines with another base; meaning that the final silent e is not usually dropped
· Understand how affixing base fore changes the meaning of the base or stem
· Apply prior knowledge of morphemes to explore bases and their word families
· Develop understanding of stems and using complex vocabulary in context
· Reinforce learning with practical activities
