
In this lesson, children will recap their understanding of basic shape patterns before learning to describe patterns with one or two shapes that include a turn. They will describe the turn the shape has made as well as identify what the next shape will look like and also have the opportunity to draw the next shape in a pattern based on its turn. This lesson includes a teaching presentation accompanied by additional fluency questions, differentiated practical fluency activities, differentiated reasoning and problem-solving challenge cards.
