Description

In this lesson, children will build on their knowledge of fractions learnt so far to gain an understanding of non-unit fractions. They will learn to that any fraction with a numerator of more than 1 is a non-unit fraction. This lesson includes a teaching presentation accompanied by differentiated practical fluency activities and differentiated reasoning and problem-solving challenge cards.

Recognise, find, name and write fractions 1/3, 1/4, 2/4 and 3/4 of a length, shape, set of objects or quantity
