Description

In this lesson, children will gain a deeper understanding of 10. Using concrete resources, children will learn that 10 ones are equal to 1 ten and will be able to represent 10 in dierent ways. This lesson includes a teaching presentation accompanied by dierentiated practical fluency activities and dierentiated reasoning and problem-solving challenge cards.

National Curriculum Objectives: Mathematics Year 1: • Identify and represent numbers using objects and pictorial representations including the number line, and use the language of: equal to, more than, less than (fewer), most, least • Count, read and write numbers to 100 in numerals, counts in multiples of 2s, 5s and 10s.
