
This editable lesson focuses on the core Design and Technology (DT) skill of making. In this lesson, the children will follow the design checklist to make their 1666-style house model using their design as a guide. They will carefully join materials, add cross-bracing to strengthen the structure and include a hinge mechanism to create a moving part. Please refer to the DT safety guidance for schools and teachers advice when undertaking any practical activities.
