Description

In this lesson, children multiply pairs of fractions using pictorial representations, such as the area model, to help them before moving on to multiplying the numerators and multiplying the denominators. Children will learn the link between multiplying fractions and finding fractions of an amount. There is a teaching presentation and differentiated resources with a range of fluency, reasoning and problem solving questions.
