Description

In this lesson, children calculate fractions of an amount. They will learn that the denominator is what they divide by to find one part and the numerator is how many of those parts are needed. They will use arrays and bar models to support their understanding. There is a teaching presentation and differentiated resources with a range of fluency, reasoning and problem solving questions.
