
This editable differentiated lesson pack focuses on helping children understand that not all trees behave the same way through the seasons. By comparing deciduous and evergreen trees, pupils learn that some trees lose their leaves in autumn while others stay green all year. Children look closely at different leaf shapes (broad leaves and needle leave) and begin to spot patterns that help explain why certain trees keep their leaves in winter. Through simple sorting and outdoor observation, pupils build confidence in identifying tree types and using scientific language to describe seasonal change.
