This editable differentiated lesson pack focuses on helping children understand that plants change in clear, recognisable stages as they grow. By observing their own seedlings and comparing them with examples such as radishes, cress and beans, pupils learn that roots appear first, followed by shoots, stems and leaves. They look for patterns in how plants develop over time and begin to notice differences between early and later growth. This lesson strengthens children’s ability to observe carefully, compare changes week by week, and describe how living things grow and develop.
The file includes the following resources: - editable teaching presentation - editable lesson plan - editable changing flower photocards - editable activity sheet - editable additional activity ideas - editable focus assessment worksheet
