This editable differentiated lesson pack focuses on helping children understand what makes a tree a tree. Through careful observation and simple classification activities, pupils learn that trees have key features such as a trunk, branches, bark and leaves, and that these features look different from the soft stems of other plants. This lesson strengthens children’s ability to identify living things and builds confidence in recognising the structures that make trees unique.
