In this lesson, children build on their previous learning of the numbers to 100 to explore these in the place value chart. They use manipulatives to organise numbers into the place value charts and begin to write numbers. This lesson includes a teaching presentation accompanied by differentiated activities with a range of fluency, reasoning and problem-solving questions, as well as 3 sets of extra fluency questions.
