
In this lesson, children build on their knowledge of there being 60 minutes in 1 hour. They explore how many minutes are in half, quarter and three-quarters of an hour and apply this to working out lengths of time greater than 1 hour and up to 100 minutes. They also begin to compare lengths of time up to 100 minutes.
This lesson includes a teaching presentation accompanied by additional fluency questions, differentiated practical fluency activities, differentiated reasoning and problem-solving challenge cards.
