Description

This lesson focuses on adding lengths with the same unit of measure before progressing onto additions that have different units of measure. Children are encouraged to find equivalent lengths in order to complete additions involving two lengths. Children are also encouraged to discuss efficient methods using various representations when adding.

Measure, compare, add and subtract: lengths (m/cm/mm); mass (kg/g); volume/capacity (l/ml)
