
This editable lesson focuses on the core DT skill of researching. In this lesson, children explore where fruits and vegetables come from and learn that they are healthy snacks that help our bodies grow strong. They take part in a guided tasting activity, using their senses to look at and taste a range of fruits and vegetables, talking about what they like and why. Children begin to use simple vocabulary to describe food and identify healthy choices. Please refer to the DT safety guidance for schools and teachers advice when undertaking any practical activities. Schools should also carry out their own risk assessment in line with school/LA/MAT policies before delivering this lesson.
