· Learn that the prefix dis- carries the meaning “not, opposite of or away”· Learn that the spelling of prefix dis- can sometimes change to match the first consonant letter of a base.
· Explore a range of bases and stems that can fix to the prefix dis- and its assimilated forms
· Explore the etymology of a range of bound bases
· Complete sentences by adding the correct assimilated form of prefix dis- to bases and stems
· Build word sums
· Sort bases and stems depending on which assimilated form of the prefix dis- they would take
· Reinforce learning with a practical game
