This editable lesson focuses on the core Design and Technology (D&T) skill of developing technical knowledge.
In this lesson, children will learn how to join materials using different methods (slots, tabs, flanges, tab and slot, and L-braces). This practical session builds on their prior learning (glue, string, tape) by introducing these more complex methods and how these joins can be used to reinforce and strengthen structures.
