
In this objective, children will learn how to affix bases fract, frag and frage to bases and stems.
Over three 20-minute lessons, they will:
· Learn that these are bound bases which carry the meaning “break”
· Recognise that bases fract, frag and frage are alternate bases
· Recognise when to apply suffixing rules
· Apply prior knowledge of morphemes to explore bases and their word families
· Develop understanding of stems and using complex vocabulary in context
· Reinforce learning with practical activities
