This editable lesson focuses on the core Design and Technology (D&T) skill of evaluating.
In this lesson, the children will test their Gothic-themed models to assess how well they meet their design criteria. They will evaluate the effectiveness of their structural design, the success of their electrical or mechanical systems, and the overall aesthetic impact. Pupils will compare their finished models to their original plans, identifying what worked well and what could be improved in future designs. Through guided discussion and peer feedback, they will reflect on how their choices of materials, mechanisms, and decorative features helped to achieve a dramatic Gothic effect.
