
In this lesson, children explore how many hours there are in one day. Using this, they learn that the times on a clock appear twice during a 24-hour period - once in the morning and once in the evening. They learn the meaning of the term ‘midnight’ and ‘noon’ and solve problems involving time. This lesson includes a teaching presentation accompanied by additional fluency questions, differentiated practical fluency activities, differentiated reasoning and problem-solving challenge cards.
