This editable lesson focuses on the core DT skill of making. In this lesson, children prepare and assemble a summer roll, using the food preparation skills they have practised previously. They follow a simple recipe step by step, applying good hygiene routines, safe tool use and careful, controlled movements to prepare ingredients and assemble their dish. This lesson builds confidence in making food safely and accurately, preparing children to reflect on and evaluate their work in the following lesson.
