This Year 7 Comprehension Crusher reading scheme pack includes two non-chronological reports based on electricity and energy and settlements. The first text, which accompanies the teaching slides, focuses on electricity and energy. It comes with three sets of comprehension questions covering vocabulary, retrieval and summarising. The teaching slides and question sets support focused practice of each question type. The second text focuses on settlements and is accompanied by one mixed set of comprehension questions covering the same three skills. This provides an unseen text for pupils to apply their learning independently. Answers to all questions are included. This unit is available at a Year 3 or Year 7 reading level, allowing pupils to explore Year 7 curriculum topics through texts suited to their reading needs.
