
This lesson focuses on the core art skill of creating. Children will create an illustration inspired by the work of a scientific illustrator, using watercolour techniques to improve their artwork. Through practical painting activities, children will practise control and perseverance, allowing paint to dry between layers to add detail and depth. They will reflect on their creative process by explaining the techniques they used and how layering helped improve their illustration.
