Description

This Under the Sea themed activity encourages children to use their phonic skills to read the different CVC words. Children need to either match the CVC word cards to the picture cards or spell the CVC words to match the picture card.
Objectives

Children in Reception
Learn new vocabulary. (CL)
Read individual letters by saying the sounds for them. (L)
Blend sounds into words, so that they can read short words made up of known letter-sound correspondences. (L)

Early Learning Goals
Work and play cooperatively and take turns with others. (PSED)
Say a sound for each letter in the alphabet and at least 10 digraphs. (L)
