· Learn that prefix inter- means “between or within” . Recognise how prefix inter- changes the meaning of the base or stem · Solve word sums . Develop understanding of free and bound bases . Explore combining bases and stems with different morphemes . Use challenging vocabulary in context . Apply three suffixing rules:
Drop the final silent e vowel letter, then add the vowel suffix.
Change the final letter y after a consonant letter to i, then add the suffix (except -ing).
Just add the suffix. · Reinforce learning with practical activities and games
