In this objective, children will learn how to add suffixes -ed and -ing to base words to form adjectives. Over four 20-minute lessons, they will:
· Learn that the suffixes -ed and -ing can be added to base words to form past and present participles
· Learn that these words form an adjective in a sentence
· Practise identifying verbs in verb phrases
· Revisit spelling rules for adding -ed and -ing to base words
· Create word sums to identify morphemes in words
