In this lesson, the children will find out when and why Maxstoke was built. They will focus on the key historical skill of chronology. This lesson builds on our other unit, 'Kings, Queens, and Castles,' and, with this in mind, includes the same monarchs mentioned in that unit. The children will make their own historical timeline in chronological order.
