Description

This model text is a persuasive advert encouraging people to donate to support Syria. It has been written to meet the Year 6 expected standard and comes with a handy annotated version detailing the text-type specific features (red), grammar (green), punctuation (purple) and spelling (blue) teaching opportunities should you wish to use this text with your learners.

This resource also comes with a ‘model text comprehension pack’ focusing on content domains 2a, 2b and 2d.

Year 6: Pupils should be taught to identify the audience and purpose of the writing, selecting the appropriate form, and using other similar writing as models for their own.
