In this lesson, children will classify triangles as either ‘isosceles’, ‘scalene’ or ‘equilateral’. They will use rulers to accurately measure the sides of the triangles so they can be correctly classified. Children will also compare the similarities and differences in the different classifications and identify, sort and draw them. There is a teaching presentation accompanied by differentiated activities with a range of fluency, reasoning and problem-solving questions.
