In this lesson, children are introduced to telling the time on a 24 hour clock. They will look at both analogue and digital clocks. There is a teaching presentation accompanied by differentiated activities with a range of fluency, reasoning and problem-solving questions.

know the number of seconds in a minute and the number of days in each month, year and leap year
compare durations of events [for example, to calculate the time taken by particular events or tasks]
