Description

In this lesson, children will use balance scales to compare the mass of two objects. They will learn that they need to use the same non-standard unit to accurately compare mass. Children will then begin to order two or more objects by mass using the words heaviest and lightest. This lesson includes a teaching presentation accompanied by differentiated practical fluency activities and differentiated reasoning and problem-solving challenge cards.
