
In this lesson, children will learn to compare the capacity of di erent containers using non-standard units of measure. They will use the same non-standard unit and compare the capacity by comparing the number of units it takes to fill the containers. Children will then begin to order two or more containers by capacity using the words smallest and greatest. This lesson includes a teaching presentation accompanied by differentiated practical fluency activities and differentiated reasoning and problem-solving challenge cards.
