Description

This activity will encourage children to find the initial phase 2 and 3 sounds in words. Children need to use their phonic skills to find the correct button to match the image on the gingerbread man.
Objectives:
Children in Reception
Learn new vocabulary. (CL)
Read individual letters by saying the sounds for them. (L)
Blend sounds into words, so that they can read short words made up of known letter-sound correspondences. (L)

Early Learning Goals
Work and play cooperatively and take turns with others. (PSED)
Say a sound for each letter in the alphabet and at least 10 digraphs. (L)
