Description

In this lesson, children will develop their understanding of halves and quarters as both decimals and fractions, using number lines and hundredth squares to support their learning. There is a teaching presentation accompanied by differentiated activities with a range of fluency, reasoning and problem-solving questions, as well as 3 sets of extra fluency questions.

National Curriculum Objectives:
Mathematics Year 4:
Round decimals with 1 decimal place to the nearest whole number.Recognise and write decimal equivalents to one quarter, one half, three quarters.
