In this lesson, children build on their learning from the previous lessons to add and subtract decimals across 1. They use their knowledge of flexible partitioning and finding complements to make 1 to solve addition and subtraction calculations. This lesson includes a teaching presentation accompanied by differentiated activities with a range of fluency, reasoning and problem-solving questions, as well as 3 sets of extra fluency questions.

·          Recognise and use thousandths and relate them to tenths, hundredths and decimal equivalents
•Solve problems involving numbers up to 3 decimal places
