Description

In this lesson, children use the formal written method to add decimals with the same number of decimal places. They begin by adding with no exchanges and move on to calculations that require exchanges up to 3 decimal places. This lesson includes a teaching presentation accompanied by differentiated activities with a range of fluency, reasoning and problem-solving questions, as well as 3 sets of extra fluency questions.
