Children apply their knowledge of the 3 times table to multiplication and division questions through making fact families and using visual representations. This allows children to practise and become more confident in their 3 times tables.

Recall and use multiplication and division facts for the 3, 4 and 8 multiplication tables  Write and calculate mathematical statements for multiplication and division using the multiplication tables that they know, including for 2-digit numbers times 1-digit numbers, using mental and progressing to formal written methods
