In this lesson, children will be taught how to recognise and identify odd and even numbers, checking by sharing into two equal groups. They will explore odd and even numbers in a variety of ways using concrete resources and pictorially. Children should be provided with manipulatives to support where applicable. There is a teaching presentation accompanied by differentiated activities with a range of fluency, reasoning and problem-solving questions.
