In this lesson, children will be taught to use the £ and p symbol. They will practise counting different combinations of coins and notes using bar models to deepen understanding. Physical resources are advised here, if you have coins, use these to support the children's conceptual understanding. A teaching presentation and differentiated resources with fluency and reasoning activities are available.

find different combinations of coins that equal the same amounts of money
