Description

In this lesson, children use a number line to explore subtraction. They use ‘counting back’ to solve subtraction calculations. They explore starting from the first number and then counting back. This lesson includes a teaching presentation accompanied by differentiated activities with a range of fluency, reasoning and problem-solving questions, as well as 3 sets of extra fluency questions.
